HOW TO ENROL IN DRIP --- > CapitaLand Malaysia Trust - Income Distribution (with Dividend Re-Investment Plan) - Ex Date 18 August 2023

既然很多 retail unitholders 可能没有执行过 election of whether to receive Cash Dividend or Reinvest Dividend into Share (DRIP), and most of you are now Unitholders after following my blog or sharing, I guess I would be happy to share and help on how to do your part.

1) DIRECT OR NOMINEE ACCOUNT

Firstly, you need to ask yourself if your investment account is a Direct Account or Nominee Account.

If it is a nominee account such as Rakuten Trade, you no need to deal directly with Share Registrar or Unit Registrar. You just need to log in to Nominee Account, platform and follow the procedure inside to click only. 

If it is a Direct Account, you need to register an account and activate your account before you can do the needful.

2) CHECK THE UNIT REGISTRAR OR SHARE REGISTRAR

There are some famous registrar such as Boardroom, Tricor and ShareWorks.

How do you know? You can check from the Annual Report or Announcement.

For CLMT, the Unit Registrar is TRICOR. 

3) REGISTER FOR THE FIRST TIME IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO

4) RECEIVE EMAIL FROM TRICOR IN 24 HOURS RIGHT AFTER REGISTRATION

5) LOG IN AND DO YOUR PART ONCE RECEIVING NOTICE FROM TRICOR

You will receive an email from Tricor on when the Election for DRIP is opened. Do not miss the deadline.

Example: -

If you do not elect, the Income Distribution will be paid in CASH on payment date. 

For your information, if you elect for DRIP, you need to pay for the STAMP DUTY. 

6) RECEIVE ALLOTMENT NOTICE AFTER YOUR ELECTION

You will receive an email from Tricor confirming that you have enrolled in DRIP

7) OTHER FUNCTION OF HAVING ACCOUNT WITH SHARE REGISTRAR

You can also register for Virtual AGM and etc.
